Hello everyone!  Thanks for visiting my page.  It's been great to hear from so many people keeping in touch through the web site.  After three months on the trail, we're finally at the half-way point and what an adventure it's been!  We've hiked through blizzards, been chased by cows and stumbled down the trail in the middle of the night.  Every day we meet extraordinary people and visit some of the most remote and beautiful sites of the Appalachian mountains.

Throughout the months I've been out here, you've asked me many questions about the hike.  I have written a new FAQ to respond to most of these and tell a few stories along the way, so I hope you enjoy it.  I also plan to start writing more for this update section about what happens every week.
